1. Is it clean?
Cushy Tushy does not make your toilet seat any cleaner or dirtier than it already is, just more comfortable. Cushy Tushy is a standard item in Japanese homes and we think that this is a testament to the cleanliness of cloth toilet seat covers.
If you're concerned about messy kids, maybe just keep Cushy Tushy for yourself in the master bathroom?
2. How often should I wash Cushy Tushy?
Most people wash Cushy Tushy about once per week.
3. How do I wash Cushy Tushy?
Cushy Tushy is machine washable. We recommend washing Cushy Tushy with like colors, then hanging to dry. Remove the plastic pipe before washing. You can find the pipe opening near the care label sewn into the inside of Cushy Tushy.
4. What is it made from?
The material in Cushy Tushy is made from 100% acrylic and is very durable. Like any other cloth item, you will notice that Cushy Tushy will wear over time.
Inside Cushy Tushy is a plastic pipe that is the secret to keeping it attached snugly to your toilet seat.
5. Does Cushy Tushy really warm your toilet seat?
No, not really. But imagine sitting on a leather car seat while wearing shorts - in the winter. Yikes! Now in your mind switch to cloth seats. Better, right? Same temperature, but cloth is much better in this case. Same goes for Cushy Tushy vs. bare seats.
6. Will Cushy Tushy fit any toilet seat?
We think so, but there may be some crazy exceptions that we don't know about. Cushy Tushy is designed to fit "O" shaped toilet seats found in most homes, but not the "U" shaped seats more commonly used in commercial locations.
Standard toilet seats in the US are either 16.5" or 18.5" in length and all Cushy Tushy will fit both sizes. One size fits all!
